Many Functions, Little Package
Dirk Pinkerton is not an adult film performer. He's a knife designer who's lent his glorious name to the Meyerco Dirk Pinkerton Utility Cutter. A great piece of EDC. The blade is only about 3in. long, but packs in a screwdriver/prytip, serrated saw edge, strap cutter and bottle opener. The 440 stainless steel has a nice satin finish and feels really solid. The handle and sheath are fiberglass reinforced nylon. So it's strong and wont melt under normal circumstances. The short handle is compensated by a great texture and ergonomic design for gripping at different angles. The blade construction is decent. We haven't found a way to break it yet. Considering the price and it's size, this is a great tool to keep in your car or pack. Dirk Pinkerton designed a fine tool in the Utility Cutter. The next time we hear "DP," we'll only be thinking of one thing.
